A Pink Princess House

Dreading the day when I have to deal with a house full of PMS'ing teenagers. For now I will cherish all the sweet things they say and do. I know all to well the hormonal roller coaster thats awaits me around the corner!

Dirty Jobs????

My child is not normal! Dora? Backyardigans? maybe The Wiggles? Not my child. She loves Dirty Jobs. Every time she sees the host she will get excited and say "There's Mike Rowe, mommy". I don't know what the attraction is. Maybe it's the Gross factor.
She has also started telling us bedtime stories and they get outrageous. Her imagination is so wild. I laugh until I cry when she tells me one of her stories. Mostly they involve her as Princess Sarah and her cousin Mekenna the wicked witch and her sisters the mean strangers that sneak into her castle and take all her stuff away..LOL

Right after my last post I came down with shingles.. UGH!!! I wanted to die I was so miserable. It lasted in all 3 weeks. I can't imagine having a bad case of it. Mine was mild and it still sucked something awful. I know someone that has had it 4 times in 2 years. I feel for her big time.

In October our Silky Terrier had 8 puppies 3 females 5 males. Alot for a Silky! They all went to wonderful homes. One we get to see every Thursday at dance class. the lady that owns the leotard store bought one of the females and she has her spoiled to death. Even has a leotard/tutu for her to wear..LOL It is just way too cute!

Well its not much of an update, but its all I got for now.

Long time no write!!!

Wow, I can't believe that half a year has gone by since I last wrote. So much has happened in the past six months, but for the life of me I can't remember any of it. Maybe it wasn't as important as I thought it was at the time.
Sarah has been sick for the past two months. Beginning of November started out with Strep throat after a week of antibiotics she was still very sick. Finally the new meds kicked in and did their job. Well for about two weeks, back to the doctors she went. Got better only to come back down with strep again a week before Christmas. She was better for Christmas and then the Friday before New years day she started coughing and then three days later ran 102 for three days. Which would only go away with the help of motrin. Last night she cried herself to sleep because her leg hurt. (both of my younger girls get leg cramps all the time) she woke in the middle of the night still crying over her leg, So I was very surprised when she woke up this morning and said her ear hurt. It only got worse from there. She screamed bloody murder for 2 hours straight and I felt so bad for her. The only appointment opening was 3 pm. So I gave her another dose of motrin 3 hours after her first. And finally after 2 hours of wanting to pull out every last strand of hair ( yes even the ones that aren't grey) she all of a sudden stopped crying, stood up and started singing and dancing along to the Backyardigans. After a trip to the doctors, the fith in 2 months, we found out she has a very bad ear infection and Bronchitis. Thank goodness I have been giving her those "make me bounce off the walls" breathing treatments. She could have ended up much worse then what she is.
Well its final. I have gotten rid of every baby item we own. I think in the back of my mind I wasn't ready to let go of these things. After our miscarriage in 2004. I really thought I would get pg again, but I didn't. We did try for a while and then we just kind of went on with our lives and said "whatever". I turned 36 last month and although a lot of women don't start having babies until now, I just don't think I can. We are so use to sleeping in on the weekends, no dirty diapers, bottles or sleepless nights. I do love the independence we have or shall I say as much as you can have when you have a 3 year old. I do miss having a baby, but my brother in law has 7 month old twin girls and by the end of the day with them, as cute and sweet as they are, gets rid of any babyities I have!

I will post more in a few days and add some pictures of my growing girls.

Summer is flying by as fast as my girls are growing up. Jordan is away at Church camp for the week. It was hard to let her go, but I realized that she needs to have a bit of freedom instead of an overly protective mom. Maddison is turning 6 next month and well, Sarah I have come to realize is no longer a baby. At almost three she has lost almost all babyness. Once in a while she lets me rock her to sleep. I am no longer aloud to call her baby. I pay dearly for that! I am to call her by name or her self given name "Buga Buga". She has a big imagination. Just ask the monster that was chasing her at the store and caused her to fall off the piano and hurt her cheek or the man that goes in mamma's backyard and helps her with her dogs and swims in her pool when no one is there..
Hubby is taking the girls on the annual father child canoe trip. Jordan has been twice. Last year was to be Maddison's first year, but she and hubby woke up sick, so they missed it. Sarah is still too young, but my mom is keeping her one night. This year they are going to camp for two days. I hope the temps drop a little. It has been around 100 this week. UGH!!!! Of course Hubby is taking the camper and it does have air.."roughing it" in the big outdoors..LOL I'm hoping to get a lot of scrapbooking done.I have spent about $350. In scrabboking stuff so far this year and have only scrapped 5 pages and a shadow box.

I've been having horrible headaches again and just so darn tired all the time. Of course that could be the three kids. I need to make an appt. And have all the test run that I was suppose to do 1 1/2 years ago (but called and canceled). In the past week I just want to curl up and sleep for a couple of months... Maybe I should take vitamins....

I hope to be better about blogging, but won't make any promisses!
I am off for my make over, I know I will look beautiful when she is done. I have seen the work she has done on herself when she is caught with my makeup bag red handed... Oh the things we do to keep our little ones entertained...

Dance Dance Dance...

I am so glad last week is over with. Every other year is a major recital for the girls dance(the only difference that I can tell between a major and non major is the programs they hand out and only two days of recitals). This year there were 3 days of recitals and of course my girls had theirs on different days. So last Thursday was Maddisons rehersal 2 hrs, Then the next morning at 10 am was Jordans which lasted 4 1/2 hours then came home, rested and then back to the recital that lasted 2 1/2 hours with two costume changes. Then on Sunday Maddison had her recital, 2 hours long. Dance is over until fall and for that I am thankful. Next dance year will be even more hectic. Jordan will have 3 costume changes and go for 1 1/2 hours, madd 2 costumes and Sarah will start in the 3 year old class. I asked my girls the other day if they would like to play a sport the answer was NO!! When I asked why maddison said " Because I don't want a ball to hit me in the face" yes of course we can't have our princess getting hit in the face... How did I have girly girlys? I am still holding out hope for Sarah, but she has some really good dance moves at 3 so I see her following in her sisters dance steps..LOL In the ballet picture J is in the middle. In J's tap she is on the left. In Madds she is in the middle, she danced to Papa loves mambo. They both did great. I am very proud of them

New cure for allergies?

Wow, can you believe that sucking face is an affective alternative to taking meds for allergies? Ok I have one thing to say.....YUCK!! The last thing I want to do, While snotting and sneezing all over myself is to be making out! Just plain gross. My husband would be so afraid that I had an actual cold, he just might die if I asked him to make out for 30 minutes (germaphobic).
So if anyone is suffering from allergies right now.. GO SUCK SOME FACE!

Coffee

I never have been a coffee drinker, but after Sarah was born I became a loyal drinker. I Remember as a kid my G-mother and I would sit on the floor in front of the heater vent at 6 am and drink coffee. Well mine was 10% coffee 90% milk and sugar. But oh how yummy it was. Well this morning I went to the fridge to get my international coffee cream, hazelnut to be exact, and that's when I remembered I used the last of it yesterday. Let me tell you that coffee, milk and sugar is NOT very yummy. As I sit here and choke it down I am making mental note NEVER EVER RUN OUT OF CREAMER!!! What a day its going to be.

Busy life

Let me take a few moments to pull myself away from my so called busy life.. The girls have been on Spring break and my nerves got a peek at what my summer will look like and IT NOT GOOD! Sarah loved having her sisters home. She and Maddison played a lot. Which is good since Madd is starting to feel left out because of Jordans new out look on life with little sisters and the thought that she's too old to play with them most of the time.. My mom bought Sarah some flashy panties from the Gap and Sarah has been peeing and pooping on the potty for 3 whole days without an accident. You know its success when you hear her in the bathroom saying "bye bye doo doos, I'll miss you" and then a flush.. Yesterday as I was getting ready to go to the store I asked her if she wanted me to get her some more panties and she said "yes, get me some shiny panties". Hopefully this will be it. Well, this and the fact that we promised her a big surprise when she starts wearing panties all the time.. We will see.

My mom and I took my three girls and my brother two kids to fun city last week. They have a small section for babies and toddlers and then a big section for big kids. We started out on the baby side, but somehow ended up on the big kids side. I sat there almost depressed over the fact that my baby was growing up and no longer needed my constant freaking out over each fall. She didn't need me jumping up and chewing out the mean little red head for shoving her down, No she glared at him with one of her "I'll let this pass just this once, but if it happens again your dead" Looks.. No I learned that day she can hold her own. All these little milestones are so hard to take.. With the other two girl we knew there would be another. This time around we know that Sarah is the last of the babies in the this house.. Just last night I said I had a headache and Sarah said "momma you go on your chair and take a rest" LOL already looking out for me...

Well here are some pictures from Fun City

I guess I have been neglecting my poor blog. I've been busy what can I say...Well that along with nothing interesting going on in my life. You ever get to that point where you feel like every day is just like the day before and it feels like its never going to end? Potty training is not going so good. Somedays I will ask if she needs to potty and she will and other days she says no and five minutes later she comes to me soooo proud of herself because she just peed her pants and needs a paper towel so she can clean it up.. Hey at least she wants to clean it up........ Jordan has been saving her money since she was 5 and so we decided to let her get a bird . We were supose to get one kind of bird and after waiting a month we decided to get another kind that was a little more but was supose to be more gentle and more talkative than the other , So the day came to go get it and We were told the people didn't bring the one they were supose too, but they were bringing another kind. So we went to look at the bird It is a Nanday Conure Parrot . So we decide to take it.. thats when the lady tells me that I will need to handfeed this baby bird 3X a day. This bird screeches until it has been fed and is content.I thought I was done feeding any kind of baby!!! Jordan has named him Cookie. right now he's not very much to look at, but once he gets older he will be very pretty.

Snow

This weather is crazy! Thursday it was in the 70's and yesterday the temps started to drop and last night it started to sleet. It was snowing a little whenI went to bed and this is what I woke up to

We got about 5 inches. I have been waiting forever for it to snow, so the kids could play in it.
wouldn't you know it would come on a night that they were both at their G-mothers? Only Sarah is home and I doubt she will be braving the single digit wind chills today.
Looks like we are going to be out the $20 per ticket we paid for to see Clifford on stage. I doubt the roads will be cleared enough to drive two towns over. I just don't want to take that kind of chance with the kids.

Everyone's better

Sarah and J are finally better and after spending the weekend with what felt like a throat full of razor blades, I got into the doctor Monday afternoon and was told what I already knew,,, Strep throat! This morning was the first time I have woke up without my throat on fire in 6 days...I am hoping that today I will get my house cleaned.. Did you know that it won't clean it's self? I found that out this past week and I also found out just how MESSY my family is. Hopefully I will get this dump cleaned up today and can post some pics tomorrow.. We will see.

Visit to the Doc

Jordan tested positive to Strep throat and Since Sarah screamed and cried the minute she saw him in the hall, He decided that it wouldn't be worth trying to swab her throat. He said the rash on her tummy and the and the with patches on her throat told him all he needed to know..I have no idea if she will ever get used to the doctor. I had to pry her off me just to turn her around... So on the way home I start feeling worse than I had this morning and now feel dizzy and have a fever, small headache and my throat HURTS inside and out. I want to crawl up somewhere and sleep, but not going to happen until the hubby gets home..2 more hours...I hope. i just want to know how the kids can be this sick yet have all the energy in the world??

School Nurse Problems..

After dealing with Sarah for over a week of being sick, first the tummy trouble then the pink eye and as of last night diarrhea, I am just not a very nice person. Last night J came to me with a sore throat and yes it was a little red.. Gave her Tylenol and a bottle of water and off to bed I sent her... Here is where I feel REALLY bad! At some point in the middle of the night, as I pryed my right eye open, I vaguely remember a small black shadow standing on my side of the bed saying "mom my throat hurts" and the total uncaring bitch of a mother sweet loving mother that I am said" said get a drink of water and lay back down" So when I woke up at 5:30 and started thinking about how the poor thing was up sick and I couldn't even get up and take care of her.. So I laid there and tossed and turned until I got up and went in and checked on her. Sound asleep. I just hope she wasn't up too long by herself. I would really feel bad.
Oh, what is it with some school nurse's? Most are very nice, but why would a school hire one that is plain O'l freaking hateful that is going to be taking care of children? I had my run in a while back with her when Madd had an accident and she sent her back to her class to sit in wet pants until I could get there whenI walked into her office and told her I was there for Maddison she snapped Maddison who? I told her and she said NO what class? errrr. Well day before yesterday J went to the office because her chest was hurting (to give the nurse a tiny bit of credit J's friend had gone to the office earlier ) So this nurse starts asking J " You came down here just because your friend did! Didn't you? J said " No, My chest hurts like it does when I am starting to get asthma" Natzi Nurse said "You don't have asthma! We don't have anykind of proof you have asthma" OMG!! This pissed me off so bad that DH had to go talk to them because I NEW I would cause a big scene arrested, cuffed, and thrown into the back of a patrol car and be asked to leave as a group of kids and teachers gathered around. So Dh took care of it.. And yes it is on file, and yes it says that parents ARE TO BE CALLED. SO nah nah nah nahnah! Like DH told them even if she were faking it (she wasn't, she came home wheezing) it was the fact that the lady told her that there was no proof she had it.. Dumb BEEOTCH! So thinking I will keep her home in case Natzi Nurse is on duty today..
